On Thursday, January 07, 2021 at approximately 1816 hours, in the vicinity of 6th Avenue and Waverly Place within the 6th Precinct in Manhattan, a 28-year-old female was walking down the street when she was approached by an unknown male individual, who punched the victim in the face in an unprovoked attack and fled on foot eastbound on Waverly Place.
The victim suffered a small laceration to her face.
EMS responded and transported the victim to New York University hospital where she was treated and released.
No words were exchanged prior to this incident.
Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 33-year-old male individual has been arrested in regard to the above-listed incident.

Charges:
- assault;
- harassment.
The investigation remains ongoing.
All charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
