Yesterday, June 17, 2024, in the Crotona Park East area of the Bronx, approximately 50 conservative-minded individuals converged in the 15th congressional district for a Bronx County Conservative Party Candidate Mixer.

Patrick McManus, Chairman of the Bronx County Conservative Party, welcomed the guests and set the tone for the evening. Gonzalo Duran, the candidate for the 15th congressional district and Vice Chairman of the Bronx County Conservative Party, served as the host, representing his district.
Duran’s goal was clear: to inform the community about the improvements he has been working on and to highlight that he is no longer alone in his efforts, as he is now joined by 17 other candidates running alongside him. He emphasized that he is just one of a handful of Conservative candidates on the Republican line, working to bring change to the Bronx.
Following Duran’s speech, over ten other members delivered brief speeches on their platforms, discussing the work they have done within their districts and outlining their future plans. Each candidate demonstrated a commitment to their communities and a shared vision for positive change.
McManus declared the event a total success. “I am honored and humbled to have had audience members from all parts of the five boroughs and even as far as Rockland County,” he said. “This shows that people from every corner of the city and state are fed up with the direction that Democratic leadership has taken us. I look forward to being a part of this movement and helping to change its trajectory.”
The night concluded with a speech from Joe Pinion, a nationally prominent conservative figure, who addressed the audience and reflected on the dynamic political landscape. His insights resonated with many of the candidates running their first campaigns, providing inspiration and guidance as they embark on their political journeys.
The event highlighted a growing sense of unity and determination among conservatives in the Bronx, signaling a shift in the political atmosphere and a renewed hope for the future.
