On Friday, May 28, 2021, at approximately 2000 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a motor vehicle collision, involving an E-Bike opposite 662 Exterior Street, within the confines of the 44th Precinct in the Bronx.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 37-year-old E-Bike operator with body pain and trauma.

EMS responded to the location and transported the aided male to NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln, where he was pronounced deceased on Friday, June 04, 2021.

Further investigation by the NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad determined the 37-year-old male E-Bike operator was traveling north bound in the south bound lanes of travel on Exterior Street, under the elevated Major Deegan Expressway, when the vehicle struck the center concrete median in front of 662 Exterior Street, ejecting the operator to the roadway, where he came to a rest.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
