On Friday, February 05, 2021, at approximately 2137 hours, police responded to a 911 call, placed from inside St. Barnabas Hospital, regarding a past assault victim, who was transported to the hospital with trauma about the head.
Further investigation revealed the victim, a 48-year-old male, possibly sustained the injury as a result of an assault taking place, with an unknown individual(s), in front of 1145 Southern Boulevard, within the confines of the 42nd Precinct in the Bronx.
The victim succumbed to his injuries on Monday, February 08, 2021.
The incident has been deemed a homicide.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
