On Thursday, May 28, 2026, at approximately 0010 hours, New York City Police Department (NYPD) police officers responded to a 911 call of an assault in front of 2158 Aqueduct Avenue, within the confines of the 46th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 23-year-old female with a gunshot wound to the left eye.
EMS responded and transported the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
