On Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at 1257 hours, police responded to a report of a vehicle collision at E. Tremont Avenue and Park Avenue, within the confines of the 48th Precinct in the Bronx.
An investigation revealed that a 69-year-old male was operating a 2013 Jeep Wrangler SUV on East Tremont Avenue and made a right turn onto Park Avenue, striking a 60-year-old male pedestrian, who was crossing Park Avenue.
The pedestrian fell to the ground and suffered a laceration to his head.
EMS responded and removed the pedestrian to St. Barnabas Hospital in serious condition.
On Monday, December 06, 2021, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.
