Lawmakers say they are ready to advocate for ferry service in Bronx after a recent report shows indications of promising ridership if there was a station in Soundview.

The New York City Economic Development Corporation projected more than 600 passenger rides daily out of Soundview for a possible ferry station. Bronx Councilman James Vacca says a ferry would also cut down on commuting time.
