Pamela Almonte Cabrera, a cherished member of the Bronx community, passed away tragically, leaving a void in the hearts of all who knew her. Pamela’s life was one of love, joy, and connection, and she will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her compassion, and the deep bonds she shared with family and friends.

As the community gathered to honor Pamela, Bishop Dr. Boyde Y. Singletary, Reverend Oswald Dennis, Pastor Dr. Cheryl Singletary, and Wilfredo Hierrezuelo shared the following statement:

“This evening, we came together to pay our respects to the family of the late Pamela Almonte Cabrera. Her life mattered! No one has the right to take a life. We gathered at Ortiz Funeral Home, located at 524 Southern Boulevard, Bronx, NY 10455, to give her eulogy. We sang songs in both English and Spanish. Words of comfort were offered by Pastor Dr. Cheryl Singletary, and the eulogy was delivered by Bishop Dr. Boyde Y. Singletary in English and by Reverend Oswald Dennis in Spanish. We prayed for the family and offered them comfort, assuring them that justice will be served for Pamela. We even gathered outside and chanted “Justice for Pamela” in English and Spanish. The family wore hoodies with messages saying “We Will Always Remember” in Spanish. Pamela’s sister spoke to the media alongside us, demanding justice for Pamela. We pray that her soul is resting in peace.”

Pamela’s memory will live on through the love and activism of her family, the music sung in her honor, and the ongoing call for justice in her name. She touched countless lives, and her loss is profoundly felt. May Pamela’s soul rest in peace, and may her legacy of love, courage, and community commitment continue to inspire all who knew her.
