In support of Porch Stomp Festival, a free, all-ages folk music festival taking place June 18 on Governor’s Island, NYC Ferry hosted onboard performances by two acts from the festival’s lineup: the Hudson Family Jam and Sheriff and the Deputy & Country City.

Ferry riders enjoyed two surprise musical performances on June 7 as NYC Ferry by City Experiences hosted a pop-up concert in support of the Porch Stomp Festival. While The Hudson Family Jam played on the open-air top deck, Sheriff and the Deputy & Country City provided entertainment on the lower deck. Both acts will appear at Porch Stomp 2022, taking place on Governor’s Island on June 18, 2022.

Tips for Enjoying Porch Stomp 2022:

  • Plan Ahead: Check ferry.nyc or the NYC Ferry app for updated schedules to Governor’s Island and real-time service alerts.
  • Fuel Up: Do not miss your favorite act because you are in the concession line. Snacks and drinks are available again on NYC Ferry at the Snack Bar and can be ordered directly from your seat.
  • Bring Your Mask: Even though Porch Stomp is outdoors, you will need a mask for the ride there. Masks are required to board NYC Ferry and while inside the cabin except for brief periods while eating, drinking, or taking oral medications.
  • Prepare to Walk: With 16 stages and more than 200 acts to see, you may end up covering a lot of ground! Choose your footwear wisely, and if you have small children, consider a stroller or wagon.
