Investigators announced Thursday a big bust in Bronx, as they arrested nearly two dozen members of a local drug crew.
Twenty-three alleged members of a gang known as the “Burnside Money Getters” are being charged with conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine and other drugs.
U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara says 22 alleged gang members are in custody and one remains at large.
The defendants, ranging in age from 19 to 48, allegedly operated in the University Heights neighborhood.
Undercover officers made repeated drug buys as part of the operation.
Officials say $14,000 in cash was seized during the bust, along with drugs, ammunition and counterfeit money.
