Nicholas Palmer & Novada Bailey, Both 36, Murdered

On Sunday, August 08, 202, at approximately 0033 hours, police responded to a ShotSpotter activation at 101 Wortman Avenue and multiple calls for persons, shot nearby Wortman Avenue, within the confines of the 75th Precinct in Brooklyn.

Upon arrival, police observed at the corner of Georgia Avenue and Wortman Avenue three individuals inside of a vehicle with gunshot wounds as follows.

Victim #1: A 36-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the head was transported via EMS to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Victim #2: A 36-year-old male with gunshot wounds to his face, chest and arm was transported via EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals / Kings County, where he was pronounced deceased.

Victim #3: A 51-year-old male with gunshot wounds to his right forearm, upper back and chest was transported via EMS to Brookdale Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.

Police also determined that two individuals sustained gunshot wounds inside of 101 Wortman Avenue:

Victim #4: A 37-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his right shoulder was transported via private means to Montefiore Hospital, located in New Rochelle, NY, where he is listed in stable condition.

Victim #5: A 32-year-old male with gunshot wounds to his chest and neck was transported via EMS to Brookdale Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
