On Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at approximately 0523 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a person, shot at 364 E. 170th Street, within the confines of the 44th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 46-year-old male, inside the location, with gunshot wounds to both legs.
EMS responded and transported the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Subsequently officers observed a 23-year-old male in front of 1420 Clay Avenue with a graze wound to the chin.
EMS responded and transported the 23-year-old victim to NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln in stable condition.
Upon further investigation, officers discovered that the incident occurred in front of 350 E. 170th Street.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
