Pursuant to an active investigation, as of January 20, 2020, Kenneth Williams, 33, is no longer being sought in connection with the incident described below.

It was determined that no crime was committed and there are no charges pending against Mr. Williams at this time.

The child has been returned.


The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating the following individual in connection to an unlawful imprisonment within the confines of the 48th Precinct in Bronx.

The following has been reported to police.

On Saturday, January 18, 2020, at approximately 0940 hours, the individual met with a 22-year-old female and their child in common, the 1-year-old female victim, inside the hallway of their residence, located in the vicinity of 182 Street and 3rd Avenue.

While the 22-year-old female was inside her apartment, the individual proceeded to remove the child from the location and place her into a van and flee with her to parts unknown.

The individual is identified as follows.

Kenneth Williams

He is described as a 33-year-old male, Black, approximately 5’7″, approximately 210 lbs.

He was last seen wearing a striped multi-colored coat with brown slacks.

The vehicle the individual and child fled in is described as a dark blue “Ford” “Econoline” van with dark tints. The vehicle did not have license plates attached to it at the time of the incident.
