On Saturday, August 03, 2019, at approximately 0925 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress at E. 187 Street and Crotona Avenue, within the confines of the 48 Precinct in Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 66-year-old male lying on the ground with trauma to the head.
EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Monday, October 28, 2019.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 38-year-old male individual has been arrested and charged on Saturday, August 03, 2019 at 2143 hours within the confines of the 48 Precinct in Bronx.

Charges:
- attempted murder;
- felony assault (3 counts).
The investigation remains ongoing.
