Police searching a BMW in the Bronx after the driver fled from a fender-bender with a cab found a 33-year-old man barely alive in the trunk.

Akeem Ajimotokan was taken to Harlem Hospital and remains in a coma with stab wounds to the head, face and body.  Ajimotokan had recently placed an online ad to sell the car, according to police.

Cops are searching for Barion Blake, 30, of Manhattan. He reportedly has a history of stealing BMWs, reported the NY Times on Friday. Police spokesman Paul Browne told the paper that the motive appears to be robbery.

The blue 2008 BMW M3 rear-ended the taxi at a red light at the intersection of Dyckman Street and 10th Avenue just after 9 a.m. on Wednesday, police said.

Blake allegedly took off on foot before police arrived.

He is described as 6’8″ tall, 230 lbs with brown eyes and black hair. He has tattoos with Chinese writing on the left side of his neck; the name “TASHA” on his left hand and a scroll with scripture on his left forearm. There is additional Chinese writing on his upper left arm, according to the NYPD.

Anyone with information about Blake is encouraged to contact the NYPD Crime Stoppers hotline via phone, text or online. All calls/messages are kept confidential.
