On Saturday, April 04, 2020, at approximately 0736 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male assaulted inside 801 Chestnut Avenue within the 47th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, police discovered a 23-year-old male unconscious and unresponsive with stab wounds to the torso.
EMS responded and transported the male to NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi where he was pronounced deceased.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as follows.

A 17-year-old male was taken into custody and charged as follows.
Charges:
- murder 2nd degree;
- manslaughter;
- criminal possession of a weapon.
The investigation remains ongoing.
All charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
