On Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at approximately 1259 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a female, shot in front of 77 4th Avenue, within the confines of the 78th Precinct in Brooklyn.
Upon arrival, responding officers encountered an unconscious and unresponsive 52-year-old female with a gunshot wound to the head.
EMS arrived on scene and transported the victim to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation the below-listed 38-year-old female individual has been arrested and charged as follows.

- murder 2nd degree;
- criminal possession of a weapon.
The investigation remains ongoing.
