On Thursday, April 08, 2021, at approximately 1955 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a single motor vehicle collision opposite 1281 Union Avenue, within the confines of the 42nd Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 64-year-old male bicyclist, lying on the roadway, unconscious and unresponsive, with trauma throughout the body.
EMS responded to the location and transported the aided male to NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln, where he was pronounced deceased.
Further investigation by the NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad determined the male, while operating his E-Bike, was traveling west bound on Union Avenue, when he struck a fixed stone construction barrier.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.
