On Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at approximately 1315 hours, police responded to a 911 call for a wellness check inside of 2131 Mapes Avenue, within the confines of the 48th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 48-year-old male, unconscious and unresponsive, with a stab wound to the chest.
EMS responded and pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
