On Monday, June 04, 2018, at approximately 1000 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an aided inside of an apartment at a residential building, located at 1420 Bronx River Avenue, within the confines of the 43rd Precinct / PSA 8 in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 5-month-old male child unconscious and unresponsive in his crib.
EMS also responded and transported the child to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Pursuant to an ongoing investigation this incident has been deemed a homicide.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.
