According to multiple sources, the Jets were awarded CB Johnny Patrick off of waivers just one day after he was cut by the Chargers.

Patrick was drafted by the Saints in the third round of the 2011 NFL draft out of Louisville.

In 2013, Patrick played in 13 games including 4 starts with the Chargers. Throughout his career he’s had only one interception.

The signing of Patrick may have been a good indication that CB Antonio Cromartie is going to be cut from the Jets very soon. Cromartie is due a $5M roster bonus later on in March.
