After graduating from Northwestern University, dynamic vocalist and songwriter Janelle Kroll will perform in concert at Arlenes Grocery on Saturday, July 18 at 7:00 PM, as part of her upcoming Summer tour. She employs not only her unique vocal talent, but also her love for meticulously crafted songs, fusing rock, blues, and pop with playful, beguiling lyrics.
In an interview with The Daily Northwestern, Janelle described her passion for creating unique, substantial work. “During [my] junior year an indie label offered to sign me but I would have been just a singer, not a songwriter, so I didn’t take it, and ultimately it was the right decision because I’m happy with where I am now.”
