Jameel Campbell, 42, Arrested For The Murder Of Ezequiel Rivera, 27

On Sunday, September 13, 2020, at approximately 0916 hours, police responded to a call of a male shot in front of 1760 Bruckner Boulevard, within the confines of the 43rd Precinct in the Bronx.

Upon arrival, police observed a 27-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the chest.

The victim was transported to Jacobi Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Pursuant to an ongoing police investigation, the following 42-year-old male, Black, suspect is wanted in connection to the above described homicide.

Pursuant to an ongoing police investigation, Jameel Campbell was arrested and charged in regard to the above-listed homicide on February 24, 2021 as follows.

Charges:

  • murder;
  • manslaughter;
  • criminal possession of a weapon.

The investigation remains ongoing.

All charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
