Help Identify An Assault Suspect

The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance identifying the individual depicted in the attached surveillance video in connection to a non-fatal stabbing that occurred within the confines of the 47 Precinct in Bronx.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at 0325 hours, inside Shoelace Park located in the vicinity of 226 Street and Bronx Boulevard, an unknown adult male individual did stab a 29-year-old female multiple times on the left side of her body, and did attempt to sexually assault her before fleeing in an unknown direction.

EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to Jacobi Hospital, where she is currently being treated.

A surveillance video clip of the suspect is attached and available at DCPI.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call the NYPD‘s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1800577TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 188857PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers‘ website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
