The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance identifying the individual, depicted in the attached surveillance photographs and video clip, who is wanted in connection to an assault, that occurred within the confines of the 44th Precinct in the Bronx.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at approximately 1944 hours, a 37-year-old male and his 33-year-old wife were on board a northbound 4 train at the Bowling Green station, when they observed an unknown individual, acting belligerent on the train.

A verbal dispute ensued between the male and the individual. The male and his wife detrained at the East 170th Street and Jerome Avenue train station, and the individual followed them down the stairs to the street.

The individual then punched the male in the back of the head, displayed a knife and began stabbing the male.

When the woman attempted to intervene to assist her husband, the individual pushed her down the stairs.

The individual then fled the location on foot.

The male sustained stab wounds to arm and right side of his torso.

The female sustained injuries to her right leg and right side of her torso.

Both victims were transported via EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln in stable condition.

The individual is described as an adult male with a dark complexion, approximately 30 years of age, 5’11” tall, weighing 180 lbs.

He was last seen wearing a black “Nike” baseball hat, a blue face mask, a gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black sneakers with a black backpack.

Surveillance photographs and video clip, obtained from E.170th Street and Jerome Avenue, depict the male after the incident, cleaning off his knife.
