The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the unidentified male, who is seen in the attached surveillance photograph and video clip and is sought in connection with an assault in transit within the confines of the 52nd Precinct / Transit District 11 in the Bronx.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Tuesday, January 05, 2021, at 1120 hours, inside of the Kingsbridge Road Station (D Line), the victim, a 74-year-old male, was attempting to swipe his MetroCard to gain entry to the system, when an unidentified male, who was exiting the system at the adjacent turnstile, punched the victim in the face.

The unidentified male then fled the station topside.

The victim later reported the incident to police and subsequently sought medical attention at Montefiore Hospital for neck pain.

A surveillance video clip and a photograph of the suspect are attached and available at DCPI.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call the NYPD‘s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1800577TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 188857PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers‘ website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
