On Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at 1920 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male, shot in front of 805 Taylor Avenue (Monroe Houses), in the confines of the 43rd Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, police discovered two males shot.
Victim #1, a 24-year-old male, was shot in the head and transported to NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi, where he was pronounced deceased.
Victim # 2, a 22-year-old male, was also shot in the head and transported to New York City Health + Hospital / Jacobi,where he is in critical condition.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as follows.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 26-year-old male individual was arrested and charged on Wednesday, September 01, 2021, at 0130 hours, within the confines of the 43rd Precinct.

Charges:
- murder;
- manslaughter;
- attempted murder;
- assault (2 counts);
- criminal possession of a firearm (2 counts);
- criminal possession of a weapon: loaded firearm (4 counts).
The investigation remains ongoing.
