Help Identify An Assault Suspect

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance identifying the individual, depicted in the attached surveillance video clip, who is wanted for questioning in connection to an assault, that occurred within the confines of the 41st Precinct in the Bronx.

On Friday, August 14, 2020, at approximately 0450 hours, in the vicinity of Hoe Avenue and Aldus Street, an unknown individual began banging on the door of an apartment inside of a residential building.

When a 41-year-old male victim opened the front door, the individual fired one shot striking him in the right leg.

The individual fled on foot to parts unknown.

The victim was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln in stable condition.

The individual is described as a dark-skinned male approximately 20-30 years old, 5’9″ tall, 190lbs and was last seen wearing a dark colored jacket, red pants and dark colored sneakers.

A surveillance video clip of the suspect is attached and available at DCPI.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call the NYPD‘s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1800577TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 188857PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers‘ website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
