The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance identifying the owner of the vehicle in the attached surveillance photographs, who is wanted for questioning in connection to an assault/non-fatal shooting, that occurred within the confines of the 42nd Precinct in the Bronx.

The following was reported to police.

On Sunday, August 02, 2020, at approximately 1450 hours, at the corner of Longfellow Avenue and E. 172 Street, a 27-year-old male victim was walking to his vehicle, when a unidentified individual fired multiple shots from inside a dark-colored van striking the victim in the left thigh. The individual then drove off to parts unknown.

The victim was removed to NYC Health + Hospitals / St. Barnabas in stable condition.

There were no other injuries reported as a result of this incident.

The individual sought is described as a male driving in a dark-colored van.

Surveillance photographs of the suspect are attached and available at DCPI.
