The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance identifying the two individuals and their vehicle, depicted in the attached surveillance video clip, who are wanted in connection to a robbery, that occurred within the confines of the 43rd Precinct in the Bronx.
Details are as follows.
It was reported to police that on Thursday, June 03, 2021, at 1540 hours, inside the “J & J Gift & Discount Shop”, located at 31 Hugh J. Grant Circle, an unidentified individual removed $46 worth of store goods and attempted to leave the store without paying.
A store security guard followed the individual outside the location and attempted to retrieve the store items, a struggle ensued, the individual went to his vehicle, retrieved jumper cables and struck the 54-year-old security guard about the body, before getting in a maroon Nissan Murano, with NJ registration plates number ending in MYY, with a front seat passenger inside.
The suspects were last seen fleeing northbound on Metropolitan Avenue.
The victim sustained minor injuries.
The unknown individuals are described as follows.
Individual #1: male, dark complexion, approximately 6’00” tall with short black hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black jacket and black sneakers.
Individual #2: front seat passenger.
Vehicle: maroon, Nissan Murano, with NJ registration plates number, ending in MYY.
