The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance identifying the male depicted in the attached photo wanted for questioning in connection to a grand larceny that occurred within the confines of the 40th Precinct / Transit District 12 in Bronx.

The following was reported to the police.

On Saturday, January 25, 2020, at approximately 1420 hours, in the vicinity of the 149th Street subway station on the “2/5” line, a 45-year-old female was riding aboard a northbound “2” train when she was informed that an unidentified male had removed her cell phone without her knowledge.

The victim approached the male and he returned her cell phone before exiting the station.

The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stopperswebsite or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES), followed by entering TIP577.
