Help Identify A Grand Larceny Suspect

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the unidentified male who is seen in the attached photo and is being sought in connection with a grand larceny pattern within the confines of the 48th Precinct in Bronx.

Details are as follows.

Incident #1: It was reported to police that on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 1715 hours at the intersection of Arthur Avenue and East 188th Street, the victim, a 25-year-old female, was walking on the sidewalk when an unidentified male riding a bicycle approached and snatched her iPhone XR from her hand.

Incident #2: It was reported to police that on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 2040 hours at the intersection of 189 Street and Arthur Avenue, the victim a 22-year-old female, was walking on the sidewalk when an unidentified male riding a bicycle approached and snatched her iPhone 10 from her hand. The phone case held the victim’s bank card and ID.

Incident #3: It was reported to police that on Monday, May 6, 2019 at 2112 hours at the intersection of Washington Avenue and East Fordham Road, the victim, a 20-year-old female, was walking on the sidewalk when an unidentified male riding a bicycle approached and snatched her iPhone from her hand. The phone case held the victim’s bank card and ID.

Incident #4: It was reported to police that on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 2105 hours at the intersection of 3rd Avenue and East Fordham Road, the victim, a 19-year-old female, was walking on the sidewalk when an unidentified male riding a bicycle approached and snatched her iPhone XR from her pocket. The phone case held the victim’s bank cards, MetroCard and ID.

Incident #5: It was reported to police that on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 1500 hours outside Full Moon, a pizza restaurant located at 600 East 187 Street, the victim, a 19-year-old female, was dining outdoors when an unidentified male riding a bicycle approached and snatched her purse from the table. The purse contained ID, a necklace, bank cards, perfume, Apple headphones and a phone charger.

Incident #6: It was reported to police that on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 1810 hours in front of 620 East 183 Street, the victim, a 22-year-old female, was walking on the sidewalk when an unidentified male riding a bicycle approached and snatched her phone from her iPhone 8 from her hand. The phone case contained ID and a bank card.

The unidentified male rides a black mountain bike in each incident. There are no injuries associated with these six incidents.

Photos and video are attached and available at DCPI. They are from a commercial location in the vicinity of East 189 Street and Arthur Avenue and show the unidentified male fleeing shortly after Incident #5.
