The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual, depicted in the attached surveillance photograph and video clip, who is wanted for questioning in connection to a grand larceny, that occurred within confines of the 42nd Precinct in the Bronx.

Details are as follows.
 
On Monday, March 08, 2021, at approximately 2100 hours, in front of 580 E. 166th Street, a 32-year-old male victim returned to his unsecured parked vehicle, discovered his wallet missing and called the police.

Subsequent investigation determined that on that same day, at approximately 1400 hours, an unknown male individual did enter a liquor store, located at 1229 Franklin Avenue, and charged approximately $1,100 worth of store merchandise on the victim’s credit card.

The individual then fled on foot to parts unknown.

The individual being sought for questioning is described as a male, 20-30 years of age.

A surveillance video clip and a photograph of the suspect are attached and available at DCPI.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call the NYPD‘s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1800577TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 188857PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers‘ website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
