Earlier this month, the New York City Police Department asked the public’s assistance identifying the individual depicted in the attached surveillance photograph regarding two attempted rapes, that occurred within the confines of the 72nd and 20th Precincts.
Details are as follows.
Incident 1: It was reported to police that on Saturday, June 06, 2020, at approximately 1135 hours, inside the subway station located at the corner of Broadway and W. 72 Street. A 36-year-old female victim exited the Southbound 1 train and attempted to transfer onto the 3 train, at which time an unknown individual blocked the victim from entering the train and dragged the her towards the end of the platform. The individual began touching the victims chest and buttocks and attempted to forcibly remove her pants. The victim scratched the individuals face, causing him to flee back into the subway system.
The victim sustained minor injuries, EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to Roosevelt Hospital, Mt. Sinai West, where she is being treated for minor injuries.
Incident 2: It was reported to police that on Saturday, June 06, 2020, at approximately 1310 hours, inside the subway station, located at the corner of Prospect Park and Prospect Park West. While aboard the Southbound F train an unknown individual approached a 25-year-old female victim, punched her in the chest knocking her off her feet and onto the bench. The individual got on top of the victim and lifted up her skirt, a witness alerted the conductor, the conductor entered the train car and yelled at the individual causing him to flee into the next train car, the conductor opened the train car doors, the victim was able to take a photo of the individual before he fled the train into the subway station.
The victim sustained minor injuries but refused medical assistance.
The individual is described as a male, light complexion, 25-30 years-old, approximately 5’4″ tall, weighing 140 lbs., thin build, brown eyes, with short straight hair.
He was last seen wearing a black Florida Marlins base ball cap, a black and green hooded windbreaker, tan belt, blue jeans and black sneakers.
Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 28-year-old male individual has been arrested and charged on Monday, June 15, 2020, at 0913 hours, within the confines of the 84 Precinct in Manhattan.

- unlawful imprisonment (2 counts);
