The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the unidentified male who is seen in the attached photos and is sought in connection with a burglary within the confines of the 42nd Precinct in Bronx.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on January 19, 2020, at 0704 hours, an unidentified male gained entry to a construction site at 443 E. 162 Street by climbing over a wall.

Once inside, the individual broke the lock to a toolbox and removed approximately $3,000 worth of tools. The individual fled the location is an unknown direction.

The unidentified male was wearing a black cap, dark colored jacket, blue jeans and black sneakers.

Surveillance photographs of the suspect are attached and available at DCPI.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call the NYPD‘s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1800577TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 188857PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers‘ website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
