The Fordham University men’s basketball squad continues the 2014 Atlantic 10 season as they travel to Philadelphia to face the Saint Joseph’s University Hawks in the Hagen Arena on Saturday afternoon, February 22, 2014, at 2:00 p.m.

The game will be streamed live on the Atlantic 10 Digital Network and broadcast on WFUV (90.7 FM) and wfuv.org and can be followed live via livestats. Follow the links above.

Fordham enters the game with a 9-15 overall record, 2-9 in the Atlantic 10, after an 82-70 conference loss at the University of Richmond last Saturday night. Saint Joseph’s enters the game with a 18-7 overall record, 8-3 in the Atlantic 10, after a 57-54 conference win at the University of Rhode Island on Wednesday night.

The Rams will be led into the game by the top scoring backcourt in the Atlantic 10, senior guard Branden Frazier, a preseason Third Team All-Atlantic 10 pick, and freshman guard Jon Severe, a product of Christ the King High School. Severe, a four-time Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week who tied the Fordham freshman scoring record with 35 points at Duquesne, is averaging an Atlantic 10-best 19.1 ppg, fifth best among NCAA Division I freshmen, while Frazier is right behind him, averaging 18.2 ppg, fourth best in the conference, and he has two double-doubles year.

Over his three-year career, Frazier has netted 1,513 points, good for tenth on the Fordham all-time scoring list.

Saturday afternoon’s contest will be the 47th meeting between Fordham and Saint Joseph’s on the hardwood. The Hawks lead the all-time series, which started in the 1919-20 season, 30-16, and have won the past eight meetings, including a pair of wins last year, a 66-62 victory on January 30 in the Rose Hill Gym as Carl Jones netted 19 points and Ronald Roberts had ten points and ten rebounds for the Hawks while Branden Frazier scored a game-high 24 for the Rams and Mandell Thomas added 17, and an 82-56 win in the Hagen Arena on March 2 as Jones netted 24 points for the Hawks.
