HHC public hospitals will hold the following events to mark the 10th anniversary of the attacks of September 11 and in memory of those who perished on that day.
Bellevue Hospital Center on Friday, Sept. 9, will host the opening of “Decade of the Dust Cloud,” an exhibition of artwork created by participants in art therapy at the WTC Environmental Health Center. The hospital will also re-dedicate a memorial mural created by survivors and bereaved at the School of Visual Arts and donated to Bellevue. Friday’s reception will be 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The exhibition continues Sept. 12-16. 462 First Ave. at 27th Street, Manhattan.
Lincoln Hospital Center‘s Pastoral Care will hold a special interfaith service commemorating the victims of 9/11 on Friday, Sept. 9, at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel. 234 149th St., Bronx.
Elmhurst Hospital Center will observe two moments of silence on Sunday, Sept. 11, at the times that each of the twin towers collapsed. 79-01 Broadway, Queens.
Jacobi Medical Center and North Central Bronx Hospital’s Joint Community Advisory Board will hold a 9/11 Memorial Procession on Sunday, September 11th starting at 8:30 a.m. in the Memorial Garden, adjacent to the Staff House, Building 2, at Jacobi Medical Center. 1400 Pelham Parkway South, Bronx.
