On Thursday, September 14, 2023, at approximately 1237 hours, police responded to a 911 call of two (2) people, shot at 512 E. 138th street, within the confines of the 40th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 34-year-old female with a gunshot wound to the arm and a 71-year-old female with a gunshot wound to her back.
EMS responded and transported both individuals to NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln, where the 34-year-old individual was listed in stable condition and the 71-year-old female was pronounced deceased.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
