On Thursday, September 01, 2022, at approximately 1605 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a person, shot in the vicinity of Valentine Avenue and E. 178th Street, within the confines of the 46th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 21-year-old male, unconscious and unresponsive, with a gunshot wound to the body.
EMS transported the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 21-year-old male individual has been arrested and charged.

- murder;
- manslaughter;
- criminal possession of a weapon (2 counts).
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

The investigation remains ongoing.
