Founded by Trudi Birger, a Holocaust survivor who vowed that no child would ever be left behind, Dental Volunteers for Israel (DVI) has stayed true to that promise for four decades.
Every year, DVI provides:
- free, high-quality dental care;
- oral-health education;
- compassionate support to Jerusalem’s most vulnerable populations:
- children from underserved, low-income families;
- at-risk youth;
- new immigrants;
- women and children living in shelters;
- Holocaust survivors and elderly residents;
- lone soldiers.
