On Sunday, September 01, 2019, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. hosted the Bronx Summer Concert Series finale at Orchard Beach.
Throughout the summer, as part of the series, Borough President Diaz has hosted concerts each Sunday, from July through August, featuring a wide variety of artists. The events were free and open to the public. This year, Charlie Aponte, Frankie Morales and freestyle sensation TKA closed out the Summer Concert Series.
The concert series was sponsored by Corona Extra, Waste Management, Mets Foundation, AT&T, Empire BlueCross Blue Shield, MGM Resorts, Altice USA, Con Edison, Metro Plus Health Plan, Mi Casita, Casa Noble, Joe’s Place, Parrilla Latina, Bronx Terminal Market, Latino Sports, LaX96.3, 41 Univision, Bronx Care Health System, The National Museum in Harlem, BOEDC and The Bronx Tourism Council.
“People come from all over the tri-state area to enjoy this concert series every year because music truly brings the community together. It’s always so much fun to see everyone dancing and making the most of the last days of the summer season. Thank you to all of the sponsors and artists who came together to make this an unforgettable year of music in our annual concert series at Orchard Beach,” said Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr.
