Bronx School Gets Library Renovation

Parents and community members win 100,000 Grant for Entrada Academy (MS 384) to establish a 21st Century Library at the Rafael Hernandez(X116) Campus in the Bronx.

A press conference to celebrate a grant given to the school to renovate the library at the Rafael Hernandez Campus. It will take place this Friday, September 24th, 2010 at 9:00 am.

Parents, school children and Bronx residents will join school officials, councilmember Maria del Carmen Arroyo and Socorro Diaz Principal of Entrada Academy.

The grant was secure through the efforts of New York Civic Participation Project (NYCPP) members, many of whom are also member of 32BJ SEIU. The NYCPP is member of the Citywide Coalition for Educational Justice (CEJ).
