A power outage left several neighborhoods in the northeast part of Bronx in the dark on a rainy Friday night.

Con Edison said the outage affected more than 540 customers and stretched from the City Island to the Country Club sections of the Bronx.

Residents told NY1 that they lost power as early as 7:30 p.m. Friday.

The power had not been restored as of 11:30 p.m. Friday night.

Officials were working to determine the cause of the outage late Friday night.

It was unclear late Friday night if the outage was related to the rain brought by the remnants of Tropical Storm Andrea, which passed through the city Friday.

Residents told NY1 Friday night that they hoped the power would return soon.

Con Ed officials say customers should call 180075CONED to report loss of electrical service in their area.
