Police are looking for a man they say tried to steal a camera from a cable TV news station in the Bronx.

The suspect is seen in a surveillance video grabbing a television camera and tripod on Grand Avenue in Tremont Thursday afternoon.

Investigators say the photographer chased the suspect, who dropped the camera and fled the scene in a black SUV.

Police describe the suspect as 30 to 40 years of age, between 5-feet-8 and 5-feet-11 and approximately 190 pounds.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit NYPDCrimeStoppers.com.
