One man is in jail Tuesday after police found him with cocaine during a traffic stop in the City of Corning.
Corning Police say around 1:30 Tuesday morning, two men were pulled over inside a vehicle near Bridge Street and West William Street. Police found that the driver of the vehicle, 29 year old Paris Wilmott of Bronx, was driving with a suspended license and was on parole out of New York City. He was also in Corning without a travel pass from NY Parole.
Police say while they were arrested Wilmott, he tried to hide cocaine. He was sent to the Steuben County Jail Tuesday morning on $50,000 bail.
Wilmott is charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Violation of Parole, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, a felony, and Tampering with Physical Evidence, a felony.
