A gunman shot and killed a 21-year-old with long rap sheet as the victim sat on a Bronx stoop Monday night, police said.
Marcos Cabral — who has been busted 17 times — was shot twice in the head as he sat in front of an E. 162nd Street apartment building near Morris Avenue in Melrose just after 10:00 p.m., cops said.
Police sources say Cabral lived three blocks away from where he was shot. It was unclear why he was sitting on the steps at the time of the attack. There were no witnesses to the shooting, sources said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
