Some 10 people were injured today after a four-alarm fire broke out inside a Bronx laundromat.

The New York City Fire Department says flames broke out just before 10:00 a.m. inside the one-story building located at 2111 Jerome Avenue in University Heights.

Fire crews were able to bring it under control a few hours later.

Five firefighters are in serious but stable condition. Four other firefighters and one civilian suffered minor injures.

Four trains that run in front of the building are running on the express track.
