Police arrested two Bronx men and charged them with armed burglary Monday night after alert residents near the Teaneck-Bergenfield border called to say they spotted them trying to break into their home, and other neighbors

Police are looking for the man who brutalized a New York City cab driver Saturday night, punching and stabbing the driver after being taken to the wrong place in Bronx.

Tanveer Akhtar, 31, of Bronx, New York, was arrested at 12:30 a.m. on October 16, on Somerset Street in Watchung for an outstanding warrant out of Secaucus in the amount of $120.

It is not likely the suspects in a robbery in Bridgeport wanted to make their own snow-cones or slushies but police are investigating after they robbed a local smoke shop of its frozen beverage machine
