A Bronx state Supreme Court judge has been censured by a New York judicial ethics body for using her staff to run personal errands for her.
The New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct said Judge Mary Brigantti-Hughes’ used her staff on numerous occasions to perform non-work-related tasks for her. It said she also asked them to participate in religious activities related to her church.
Brigantti-Hughes has been a justice in the Bronx court since 2005.
The commission says the judge cooperated with the commission and has discontinued the “problematic behavior.”
