A 63-year-old man was found fatally bludgeoned next to a shovel in his Bronx apartment on Thursday night, police said.

A Ridgefield Park police sergeant caught a suspect dumping more than 500 used tires before dawn near Overpeck Creek, producing a case that the state Attorney General’s Division of Criminal Justice is prosecuting, authorities said.

The indictment that landed two Bronx men in Cayuga County Court was sparked by a traffic infraction.
